This Week Has Been A Good One!

Well this week has been a good one! We have taught lots of people. Right now I think we are teaching like 13 people. All of which are on date for baptism. We had two baptisms this week. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. We had Curtis on Sunday. And Isaac Haws the 14 year old kid that called us saying he wanted to be baptized on Saturday. They were both great baptisms. Isaac asked me to speak on the Holy Ghost at his baptism so that was a great opportunity. It is definitely different serving my mission here in the Salt Lake valley. Especially with having my home in the mission. But that is okay. I am still serving the lord and loving every minute of it. Whenever people ask us where we are from. I usually say Rochester, New York. That way I do not have to explain every five minutes why I was called to this mission. But the people that I will have a lot of interaction with I always tell them why I am from Bluffdale.

Onward Christian Soldiers

This morning Elder Reed Anderson was set apart by President Rane as a missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. Love filled the room during this special blessing. We are so grateful and thrilled that Reed's health has improved and he is able to serve once again.

We are so grateful for your prayers in Reed's behalf. We ask that you continue exercising your faith and prayers that Reed's body will be able to sustain him as he is about our Father's work.

Instead of driving to the MTC or to the Airport to send off our missionary son, we loaded up the car and Mark drove Elder Anderson to his assigned area of labor (West Jordan , Copperton) where he met his companions and other missionaries at the location of their zone conference. Reed's luggage was transfered from our vehicle to theirs and off to work he went.

Reed has loved the time that he has spent serving since he has been home, but it was difficult and strange to serve during the day and then come home at night. We are thrilled that Reed was able to move to serving both day and night and are hopeful that his body will be able to sustain him.

Sister Anderson has been called to.....

The Tucson Arizona Mission. She will be teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Spanish language. Melissa will enter the MTC on June 3rd.
